Monday, February 12, 2007 @ 10:20 PM PST - Week 20's Words
I was hoping to get out last night's 60 Minutes Barack Obama interview by tonight, but I wasn't able to - and the Super Bowl commercials (I know, late!) are all done and encoded, but the pages aren't ready, I want to re-code those pages before I put these new ones up, so I hope to get done with that by tomorrow night, if not, later this week, Insha Allah. Okay, word time! You can get them here, or here:

Sunday, February 4, 2007 @ 8:55 PM PST - Week 19's Words
So the crappier Grossman showed up. Colts win it, 29-17 - I was five points off. Did anyone enjoy this game? cos I kind of lost interest somewhere in the second half (but I got so bored of Prince that I changed the channel to watch local news for a few minutes, haha, I'm sorry Prince, I guess I'm just not a fan... the only thing I really liked about your performance was your stage, the fireworks, and the audience - and the rain during Purple Rain was cool too, but I didn't really enjoy it as much as they hyped it). But I wouldn't not watch the bowl, it's not like the commercials kept me interested, but even there there were only maybe four good commercials (which I plan to post by the way, Insha Allah - not in HD though, sorry) - and that super ad sucked major. Well at least Peyton now has a ring and is MVP, I'm happy about that. The Bears were horrible, very bad representatives for the NFC, it's obvious who should've represented the NFC. I guess that 120 inch set went to waste, haha. Now for the words, you can get the words here, or here:

That's all for now dudes. Let's hope we get to see more Peyton on TV now that he won! I'm excited for that. Oh, and was it just me, or was the game running at like 24p for the first quarter? I definitely saw it at a slower frame rate in Hi-Def.... Alright, I hope you all enjoyed the game, let's call in sick tomorrow. Oh damn, I forgot to use the bathroom during half time. Ah well. haha. Take care. see u.

Sunday, February 4, 2007 @ 11:00 AM PST - Super Bowl XLI
Super Bowl XLIHey, I just realized today's the Super Bowl.... No, I mean, I knew about it the whole time, and it has nothing to do with the Saints not being there, but I just realized this morning, that today's the big game. Man, I'm all excited. XLI. Is Peyton Manning going to have the game of his career? Who's going to show up, crappy Rex Grossman or crappier Rex Grossman? Will Urlacher be able to bring back the all-great Bears defense? Will the outdoor stadium in the Miami rain affect the game like it did two weeks ago with the Saints? Will Peyton finally win the big one? Beat 'em so that next year the Bears will lose to the Packers as Favre comes back? Will a black coach finally win the Super Bowl (assuming Tank doesn't shoot the winning coach before he wins, leaving both black coaches to lose)? And what animal will be in the new Career Builder commercial? So many questions. I can't wait. Super Bowl Party at my house - you bring the food though. I bought this new 120 inch HD set and I'm dead broke and can't afford any food. Oh, and bring some couches while you're at it, I had to sell mine. Go Colts. I'm calling 'em to win by two touchdowns and a field goal. That's right.

And real quick before I depart to blow up the balloons, I put two more Kenan and Kel episodes up, Two and Three from Season 1. Two is the one where Kenan wants to set goals like Ernest Hemmingway and he and Kel end up at the top of the Sears Tower - Three is where Kel can predict the future. All great fun. Download the classic episodes here, at the Kenan and Kel page. Alright, I'm off - I'll be watching the Back to the Future trilogy in Hi-Def on HDNet until the game, join me won't you (or Pistons at Cavs... whatever)? And remember to use the bathroom during half time. But before I go, all jokes aside, Peyton, you, the other Mannings, and the Colts deserve this win. Give us a great show. Go Colts. Take care. see u.

Thursday, February 1, 2007 @ 7:45 PM PST - Aw, Here It Goes
Kenan and Kel Oh no, the layout is the same! Well, the plan was to keep it the same until I get bored with it, and I don't know about you but I am liking my site. The only thing different for this month (if you'll notice) is that "websites" up top is missing. I decided to scrap it and instead add "web log" because we now have three different years worth of posts (even thought the site is only a little older than a year old). That section just wasn't making me happy, so I decided to scrap it. I could've kept it, but then the navigation might've looked too cluttered and I'm trying to keep this thing simple (I also organized the navigation better, I noticed a problem from last month). And I've never really liked the word "blog" cos, to me at least, it suggests things like online journals and such - but hopefully as the months and years go by, I will be able to accept it. Anyway, the reason I brought that up was cos I stole Google's Blogger logo for the "web log" graphic, haha. The other thing I did to the site was made it easer to read between posts by adding a 10 pixel margin to the left of each post so that the title of the post and the "Permalink" protrude out farther to the left than everything else. I hope 10 pixels is enough, if not, I'll change it later. And the index images are back! That's basically all I changed for this month... unless you dig deeper.

I'm sure you're curious about this graphic. Kenan and Kel? That hasn't been around for years! I know! Surprise! I grew up watching this show and it brings back so many memories. A week or two ago, Imadul told me about a rumor that Comedy Central would be picking the show up for syndication, I was so excited. But I later realized that the chances of this happening are slim, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and purchase DVDs of the show. Nick doesn't sell them, I found a website nickclassics.com that sells them in a 5 disc DVD box set. Although the quality isn't amazing, it's worth the memories. So I decided that for February, which luckily is Black History Month, I'd put up this awesome show. Watching the episodes over again (that I've been doing for a week now), I've noticed how dumb these are, but I'm still laughing. Catch phrases like "Aw, here it goes", "Why?!" "OOOOHH!" just bring back so many memories. The first episode of the series brings back some amazing memories, especially at the end. The episode is entitled "The Tainting Of The Screw" and follows both Kenan and Kel trying to sue the Luna Tuna corporation as Kenan finds a screw on the ground of his living room after choking on a can of their tuna. Classic episode, I love it. I'll try to keep the episodes coming as fast as I can so that you can all enjoy the show - and I'm pretty sure this is not illegal because Nickelodeon isn't even selling the DVDs and I'm not getting any money off of this - not from Google or from independent ads or anything - I'm just spreading this wonderful TV show to the people of the world who have grown to love it, let's hope Nick comes out with a DVD soon with cool special features. The episode is available in all three flavors at the brand new Kenan and Kel page, here, at only about 80MB. So if you remember the show, or want to remember the show, have fun downloading and reminiscing. I'm sure this surprise makes up for the late day post. That's all for now everyone. Take care.
