PM - I got to get to class. The reason this one took me so long was cos I was finishing up my USC application (and the supplemental stuff for the Writing major), but it's all done now. So be happy, haha. Okay, so the words. Get them from here or from here:

There's probably a couple things I want to say, but there's no time right now - but I'll say the Saints whooped the Cowboys yesterday, haha. Check back tomorrow for a better update, Insha Allah. Take care. see u. |

PM - Power went out yesterday, so I had to start over on the game, but I got the DivX and WMV9 ready, just H.264 is still encoding. Head on over to the page to download this huge Los Angeles rivalry game. Check back later tomorrow for the H.264 version - remember, not only is it higher in quality, but it's lower in size, substantially lower. Alright, so now the words, get them from here or from here:

Occurring right now is Monday Night Football, the Panthers are taking on the Eagles. I don't really care much for the teams, except I want the Eagles to win so that the Saints get a better chance of winning its division... but then it'll be harder for the Giants to be a wildcard... oh no - ah well, better Saints than Giants. Oh, and also, tomorrow night, if you have FSN, watch the Heat/ Clippers game - I'm going with Robyn, Insha Allah; but I'll be secretly rooting for the Heat... don't tell her, haha. We're also going to the Auto Show before, so if anything fun happens, I'll post some photos. I'm pretty sure Shaq won't be playing, so that gives me a chance to mess with him if he's sitting on the bench, haha. Alright everyone, take care. see u.

10:05 AM - Oh no. We've had Carroll (Pete, not Mr., haha) for six years, and in the past six years, we've won every game against UCLA... until yesterday. What the hell happened? The only fun part of that game was the hit you see to the left (that was awesome, they replayed it over and over and over - that was fun). Well, USC lost 9 - 13, the first single digit score in the millennium. UCLA did pretty well - so props to them, I was wrong about the outcome; they kept us from going to the Championship Game - but we still get to go to the Rose Bowl, Insha Allah. Who're we going to play? Well the Gators won against Arkansas yesterday, so they might play in the Championship Game against Ohio... or Michigan might get that rematch we've all been hearing about. It all depends on the votes - BCS is really stupid. We'll find out tonight, Insha Allah, who's going to play the Rose Bowl (against USC) and who's playing in the Championship Game [against Ohio - it's sad that USC couldn't go there as well because if they did, they'd be at Cardinals' stadium and Leinart could've come and watched... and Carroll would get used to the environment cos people are saying that they want Dennis Green (anyone know how to pronounce his name? haha) out and Carroll in, haha - don't leave Carroll, please]. I'm working on the video right now, it'll be ready to download by tonight so check back tomorrow for it to be up with the words.
But let's forget about college football for now (until 5 PM tonight when they announce the standings on FOX and ESPN2, Insha Allah) and focus on the NFL. Big games today. Saints is kicking off the 49ers game in a couple seconds ( Will Smith isn't playing today, haha, that name still cracks me up), Seahawks plays the Broncos and its new quarterback, and of course the Cowboys take on the Giants (oh damn do I wanna see that game - the Giants have to win!) - but there's a lot more, so head on over to NFL.com and flip through your channels for a big football day. Oh, and Lakers beat the Clippers last night - Robyn went, haha, Clippers suck. Alright everyone, this wind is awesome, take care. see u. |

12:01 AM - You like the new color? It matches your eyes. You have beautiful eyes. Reminds me of the blueish colors in the sky of Disney films, such Disney films like Bambi. Okay, so the color is a bit odd when put in front of black - I don't even know what color it is really, blue or purple? I can't exactly tell the difference with those colors. So last month we had the green going on - much like the green from Spearmint Orbits, my favorite kind - and this month we have the blue/purple going on. But why the sudden change? It isn't the 31st yet. cos November only had 30 days dummy. Which mean you have negative one minute to submit your UC applications... I submitted mine - one of the UCs I applied to was UCLA... and I felt a little awkward as USC is going to beat them silly this weekend ( ABC, 1:30PM, be there).
But why blue? This month we're paying homage to Eyes Wide Shut. It was Kubrick's last film and therefore our last film for the year. His last film has to be, to me, the most depressing. To me, anything that shows people's relationships being broken up because of deception and dishonesty is quite sad. In the film, both the husband character and the wife character, Tom Cruise (I won't go on a rant about Scientology because Kubrick picked him for this role, and we must respect his decision) and Nicole Kidman, respectively, want more than what they actually have, they have fantasies - they act as if they love each other, when in fact there's this fallacy there keeping them apart and keeping them wanting to cheat on each other and do things with others. It can be somewhat depressing. This movie came out four months after Kubrick had died so he, sadly, did not have a say on how the film would be distributed. Warner Brothers decided to send it off as an erotic fantasy film filled with sex scenes in every second of the film - when in fact it is not. Although it does have a couple sex scenes, and by a couple I mean a lot, they are not put in the film the way that Warner Brothers advertised it - the film's sex scenes are not there to pleasure the audience, but instead to pleasure Cruise's character as he is the one who wants these fantasies. So the film is about the psyche of a man who becomes insanely jealous over something his wife tells him (I won't say what cos you should learn that in the film), and it is done amazingly - there are scenes and sets in this film that I will never forget - one being the scene above behind "MODENADUDE.COM", that will be stuck with me forever, Insha Allah. So if you haven't seen the film, I recommend it to anyone, especially to those sadistic romantics out there, haha. Enjoy this last month, Kubrick films are almost gone. But don't be sad, I have a fun surprise for you for next month's (next year's) design. Happy December, everyone - to celebrate, why don't we all go see The Tempest playing at SOCES' Bauer Auditorium last night, tonight, tomorrow night, and Sunday afternoon, Insha Allah - I haven't gone yet, but will go tonight, Insha Allah (you all can thank me for the plug later). I'm off to watch Kimmel's monologue then go to bed - too tired to stay up for Conan. Take care everyone. see u. |
